NMM 2.4 SP1 build 122 update release

A formal hotfix is ready for the people who are using version 2.4 SP1 of Networker Module for Microsoft Applications (NMM), It might be useful to know that there is a new build release for this version.

It is release 2.4.1 Build 122.

If you are wondering why should you update your version to this release. Or with other words, what is fixed in this release?

Cumulative hotfix includes these main new fixes:

NW147080 – NMSQL backup takes too long to start when there is very high frequency of backups, especially with full and high frequency incremental backups
NW150383 – NMM recover picks VADP backup instead of the NMM backup

NW149910 – NMM 2.4.1 incr backs up all the data for C:\foo 
NW148963 – Backup of physical node uses shared drive letter as mount point and causes failover to fail and application becomes available
NW150454 – Unable to do GLR restore from AD GLR backups.
NW145254 – NMM 2.3 Exchange backup fails when RM times out after 1200 seconds
NW143788 – NMSQL UI takes 5 hours to show save sets with change browse time and takes 30 minutes to show database properties
NW141808 – NMM nsrsnap_vss_save exception code 0xc0000005 crash

NW151147 – Cannot restore group membership when doing an Active Directory restore using NMM
NW149411 – GLR restore works but unable to browse for Mail box. Error "Could not obtain Legacy Display Name for Exchange server"
NW146262 – NMM 2.4 GLR Restore of Exchange 2007 SP3 fails with Failure (0x80070490)
NW146740 – NMM GUI doesn’t open or times out on Windows core edition for Hyper -V core edition
NW147802 (NW142013) – Exchange recovery fails if there is & in the name of the database
NW145453 – Restore of Exchange 2010 database(s) to RDB fails during post restore validation

NW152993 – NMM 2.4.1 Installer should detect and fail the installation if NW 8.1 or higher NW client is installed on the host.

This update is installed as per the installation instructions for the NetWorker Module for Microsoft Applications 2.4. The old NMM must be uninstalled, and then the new version installed.
