EMC VPLEX Virtual Edition and GeoSynchrony 5.4

VPLEX Virtual Edition and GeoSynchrony 5.4 are the newest releases of the operating environment for the EMC VPLEX family. VPLEX Virtual Edition 2.0 deploys the revolutionary VPLEX technology as a set of virtual appliances configured as a VMware vApp and hosts those virtual appliances across an organization’s existing ESXi infrastructure, which makes it ideal for VMware-centric, midmarket organizations.

MetroPoint Topology, part of GeoSynchrony 5.4, provides the highest levels of protection and redundancy, protecting against full site failures, regional-wide failures, data corruption, and just about any other event imaginable.

Available June 24, 2014, these releases bring a new deployment option for VPLEX and support of the new MetroPoint Topology for three-site continuous availability and protection.
